The fishbone structure of the headset is adjustable with four levels, each level providing a 2mm adjustment. The transparent part of the headset is made of rubber, while the black fishbone is made of TPE, ensuring durability and flexibility.

Throughout the design process, Zhanchao Chen and the design team faced various challenges. They conducted extensive research on ear sizes and conducted experiments to find the optimal structure for adjusting the headphone elongation. The final design incorporates a physical structure that fixes the silicone gel on the fishbone, providing optimal performance and comfort.

The Goldfish Headset was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Digital and Electronic Device Design category in 2018.
